Stixx Mitchell
Stixx Mitchell is a professional musician from the beautiful island of St. Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean, specifically a Drummer. His gift of drumming has taken him across the globe, touching every continent in the world by the age of 25. Through hard work and perseverance Stixx has some history making achievements and is still focused with plans on continuing his rise. Today, Stixx Mitchell is the first St. Lucian Drummer to ever play on international records. In 2017 he played on the new album for “The White Tiger Society” launching in 2018 under Lalabela Entertainment Group with likes of tunes to be released entitled, “Elevation”, “How Long”, “The Pow Wow”, “For The Love”, “Tell Me You Love Me”, “My Dream”, “Day by Day” & “Why” feat. Stephen Marley. In 2019 he recorded live drums for Collie Buddz’ hit song “Love & Reggae”. In February of 2023 he then recorded live drums on the “Sa Ka Fet Riddim” out of St. Lucia with locally hit song “Sho” {Hot Head} by D’FunMachine produced by Miguel Joseph of Vibez Productions. He has also done drum session work with “Spragga Benz” and “Kymani Marley” for the album “The Journey Chosen” just to mention a few drum sessions.
Stixx is the very first Drummer out of St. Lucia and the entire Eastern Caribbean to be affiliated with the Marley Family. He has officially toured internationally as the drummer for the late JoMersa Marley, grandson of the late reggae legend Bob Marley; who was the eldest son of Stephen Marley, also with Grammy Award Winning Artist Jemere Morgan, the eldest son of Gramps Morgan, the Legendary “Junior Marvin” Lead Guitarist for “Bob Marley & The Wailers” and “Collie Buddz” multiple times. Early in 2023 he acquired his latest appointment as the Drummer with International Smooth Jazz Guitarist “Ronald Boo Hinkson” of Zephryn Records, “Hinkson” was the person responsible for introducing Stixx to music back in 1996. They performed at the 2023 St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, The Ultimate Celebration Show Day making their appearance right before headlining acts Sting & Shaggy on the Main Stage and has many future bookings to fulfill regionally and internationally.
